What is the best Rolex to own?

The best Rolex to own is the one you like the most.

I don’t know what you’re looking to get out of the watch, so it’s tough to answer your question. If you’re looking for a reliable tool watch, the GMT, Submariner and Daytona might fit the bill. It all depends on the job you intend the watch to fill.

If you are looking for a dress watch, consider an Oyster or Datejust. Anything from those lines should satisfy your needs.

As an investment, you’ll want to buy a vintage watch. New stainless sport models will hold their value but I can’t imagine them achieving the heights in value of certain vintage models. Investing in Rolexes is a gamble and requires a pretty good cash layout.

If you’re just trying to look like a baller, or planning on getting into the pimp game, well, Rolex has a watch for that niche too.

The “best Rolex to own” is the one that best suits its purpose.
